LA MESA ROTARYHello – I am Scott Elam here to represent the La Mesa Rotary Club.This year the La Mesa Rotary Club is celebrating 100 years of community service! Rotary is an International Service organization with over 1.2 million members worldwide. Our Rotary Club has sponsored an INTERACT Club at Grossmont High School for many years. We want to thank the teachers who have been the Interact Club Advisors: Ms. Jennifer Raymond and Mr. Todd Bell and Bill Ashman from La Mesa Rotary. INTERACT is a High School level Rotary Club.This year the Interact Club has participated in nearly TWENTY community service projects. Here are some examples of their hard work and service:a)Walking to raise attention to Alzheimer and mental Illnessb)Helping at local elementary schools’ fall carnivalsc)Organizing and presenting gift bags to Veteransd)Building Bikes For Kids as Holiday gifts for 2nd graders and many more projects.This year the Club President and Leader is EVIN McDOWELL. As the Club President, she is being recognized for her leadership and is awarded $300.Thank you for being a great leader of the Grossmont High School Interact Club!
