Our Rotary District had our District conference at the Gaylord Marriott resort this year. We had FOUR Districts-5300,5330,5320 & 5340. We heard amazing motivational presentations from: Rotary INTERNATIONAL past PRESIDENT Gordon R. McInally, Rotary INTERNATIONAL Trustee Vicki Puliz, and Rotary INTERNATIONAL Director Wyn Spiller. In addition there were several individuals who told personal stories about their Rotary connection.
In the afternoon attendees could volunteer to build WAPI kits-to help to purify water; or to volunteer to help assemble Care packages for those rescued from Human Trafficking; or to volunteer to assemble 2,000 meal packages.
You can see the wonderful Grossmont High School Interact students, who joined with many other students, who greeted the Rotarians with a lively performance to open the Saturday sessions. Then many Interact students attended from around our the four Districts and held their own training and sharing sessions.
It truly was an inspiring conference.
